My thirteenth day at camp.

Today I woke up at 7:30 in the morning and had breakfast. After that, we cleaned all the dirty dishes, and at 10:00 AM, we started working on our poster for class. First, we worked on the methods, and then a man named Warren arrived, who is skilled at giving inspiring talks. We had the opportunity to speak with him in a circle, and it was truly moving to hear what he shared. Later, we had lunch, and after eating, we continued working on our posters, this time focusing on the results of our bacteria research. We also created a spreadsheet to classify the types of bacteria. Once the posters were completed, we took a short break. After the break, we had dinner. Once we finished dinner, we organized the used dishes and cleaned the area. Then, we took an exam and finally completed our reports. After finishing my report for today, I went to sleep.

My twelfth day at camp.

We woke up at 6:30 AM and had breakfast. After breakfast, we waited for our guides for the day. Once everyone was on the truck ready to leave, Aeden and I were sent to our guides' car. From there, we headed to our first destination where we met Brayan, who would be our guide for the day. He took us to a canal to measure water levels. Virginia and I were the first to enter the water to take measurements. We were provided with waterproof suits, but unfortunately, the one I was given was torn, and I ended up soaked. After measuring the first canal, we moved to another one. Due to rain, we had lunch inside the cars before proceeding to measure the water levels at the next canal. Again, I had to enter the water to take measurements, this time with Aeden. Despite the torn suit, I had to use it again as there were no replacements available. After completing measurements in one section, we had to walk to another, but my suit was heavy with water. I had to remove it to drain the water insid

My eleventh day at camp

Today we had to wake up at 6:30 in the morning. Then we went to have breakfast and saw a deer running across the river. After that, we packed our things to go to our next campsite. From there, we went to drop off Sandy at the Pasco airport. Afterward, we went to Starbucks and then to Walmart. We arrived at a park to have lunch, and after eating, we headed to our next destination called Wellpinit. Once we arrived, we waited for the truck because it carried our tents. While waiting, we visited a place in the park full of people making necklaces, bows, clothes, and other crafts. We explored the area a bit, and when the truck arrived, we set up the tents. After that, we had dinner, and once we finished eating, we gathered everything and cleaned up because we had to do science projects. After that, we went to sleep, and that was my day.

My tenth day at camp

My day started at 6:30 in the morning. The first thing we did was have breakfast before heading to a fish hatchery. Once there, after lunch, we were given a tour of the facilities, where they explained the water quality and other management aspects. The person who guided us is named Telt Branstertter; she specializes in collecting and replanting plants in specific areas, using methods such as the use of resticides and manual labor, sometimes complemented with machinery to control pests. Near the hatchery, there is a river full of animal life, indicative of its good environmental health. However, the presence of toxins could threaten this ecosystem. After the tour, we entered the hatchery facilities, guided by Jason Thomas, an expert graduate from the University of Idaho with experience in aquaculture. He showed us large tanks of fresh water directly from the river, as well as smaller ponds with fish aged 3 to 4 years old. Later, we helped Gale, who focuses on transplanting plants in ve

My Ninth Day At Camp

My day started at 5:30 in the morning. The first thing I did upon waking up was to start organizing my things because we had to move to our next campsite. Once I finished packing my clothes, we went to have breakfast. After breakfast, we began to dismantle the tents and load them onto the camper, along with all the other things that were outside. Once we finished packing everything, we went to the cafeteria to work on the posters about the bacteria we are culturing. After working on the posters, we went to a canal to collect water samples. Then, we started loading everything to head to our new campsite. We had a long road trip ahead, and it was indeed quite a long journey. Halfway through, we stopped at a gas station to buy some supplies. After that, we headed straight to our new destination, which is called Harris Park. Once we arrived, we set up the tents and prepared everything for the night. We also unloaded everything from the camper to start cooking. Once we finished unloading,

My Eighth Day At Camp

My day started at 5:30 in the morning, and honestly, I wasn't feeling well because I was dizzy and had some stomach pain. I also vomited, but the day went on, and I like visiting new places, so I tried to feel better and took some painkillers. Once that was over, we got ready to go explore the mountains, climb, and study rocks. Before leaving, we had cereal for breakfast and prepared our lunch for later. After organizing our things, we met the person who would lead us today: Bremman Martiny, who clearly enjoys and is passionate about his work. After meeting Bremman, we headed to our first destination, a group of rocks embedded in a larger stone that seemed damp with moss. Our goal was to break these rocks to see their contents, and I had the opportunity to break one. When I hit it with the hammer, it shattered into many pieces, indicating it wasn't very hard. The impressive part was that it had a white and shiny section. After that, my companions went climbing, but I didn'

My Seventh Day At Camp

I woke up at 6 in the morning to start preparing things for our next destination, Mitchell. Before leaving, we had breakfast and then headed to the bookstore to complete some work. There, I had the opportunity to call my family to greet them. After that, we ate in a park and visited a very interesting museum where I could learn about the life of Native Americans and the Old West era. It was a enriching experience for me, as I am not familiar with those cultures and enjoy learning about how they lived and what they did. Additionally, I observed various birds in the area and many otters in a pond. After seeing the otters, we enjoyed the beauty of the birds and then left the museum to head to Mitchell, our final destination. We were warmly welcomed, set up our tents, had dinner, I took a shower, and finally went to sleep. This was my seventh day of travel.
